The developed rig is used for the work described in this paper. The rig was developed from an existing vacuum spin rig facility, which had previously been used for rotating vibration measurements. This is a self-contained rig. with the drive motor, oil system, drive shaft and vacuum chamber mounted into a compact frame (Figure A21(a)).
